His calm but authoritative control and his motivation of Australian and Afghan soldiers in the most hazardous circumstances were excellent.
His direction and guidance guaranteed the success of his team in combat, ensured the safety of his soldiers, and enabled superior levels of performance from the Afghan National Army soldiers he mentored.
