Tomas Road

The above photograph is of 'Tomas Road' inside the 5RAR lines at Nui Dat; probably late 1966.
The road complex were given the names of our soldiers who were killed in action or died of wounds.
Marinko died from shrapnel wounds fired by friendly artillery fire on July 8, 1966 in Phuoc Tuy Province.
'Titch' was the first national serviceman from Western Australia to be killed in action. (See Roll of Honour).
