Crossing the Equator 1969

5RAR's Regimental Police Sergeant Sid Davis known as "The Sheriff", is seen leading the parade as King Neptune with the navy band in the background.
Sgt Davis served with 5RAR on both tours in the Republic of South Vietnam.
This photograph was taken aboard HMAS Sydney as the battalion was commencing its second tour in February 1969.
