Enlisted in the army's special section, ( Bandsman ) on July 2, 1962 and was posted to the Battalion for its first tour in 1966.
Stretcher Bearer Poole died from a massive land mine in the long Hai Hills on February 21, 1967.
Eight other soldiers were killed and nineteen were wounded.
