23 September 1947 - 10 December 2024.
PTE John Cullen died on Wednesday 10 December.
John was inducted into the ADF on 17 July 1968 and attended 2 RTB for recruit training and 3 Training Battalion for Corps training. He was transferred to the RAR, Reinforcement Wing in December and on 13 May 1969 deployed to 1 ARU in Vietnam. On 4 June he transferred to 6 Platoon, Bravo Company as a rifleman. John completed the Battalion’s Tour of Duty and returned to Australia on 5 March 1970.

I have received news today that John's funeral plans have been finalised and are as follows:-
Date: Monday 6th January 2025
Time: 1300 hrs
Place: Heritage Funeral Parlour 733 Boronia Road Wantirna 3152
Followed by Wake: Boronia RSL 198 Dorset Rd Boronia Vic.
This will allow time for Interstate family and friends to make arrangements for travel and accommodation as required.

The relinking took place on December 3, 2024 at Robertson Barracks Darwin to form the 5th/7th Battalions.
