Fire Mission

Mobile guns of the 2nd Battalion /35th (Medium Self-Propelled) Artillery Regiment in support of 1ATF are seen here conducting a fire mission. The Nui Dat hill can be seen to the rear of the guns. The mobile guns are pointing to the north, probably in support of 6RAR as this photograph was taken by a 5RAR digger.
The mobile guns could 'punch' a 155 mm shell to a distance of just over 18 kms (11 ml)
