MK V Centurion Tank of C Troop

Another Centurion tank possibly from C Troop, 1st Armoured Regiment seen in support of 'Diggers' along with APCs from 3rd Cavalry Regiment. In 1968 the tanks played a vital role in the defence of Fire Support Bases 'Balmoral' and 'Coral' and proved once and for all that heavy tanks, crewed by Australian experience and courage could move and operate in heavy jungle wherever the infantry needed them.
