Book Cover: A Gracious Enemy

G’Day, Blokes and Girls from 5RAR. On Sunday 24/November/2019, the official launch of my book about the three (3) Indochina Wars shall take place at the City of Albury Library/Museum at 13:00 hours Australian Eastern Summer Time. This is a free of charge public event, with light refreshments in the form of tea, coffee and biscuits being provided. People will be able to purchase “A Gracious Enemy” at this event for the following prices.

(1) Hardcover edition (printers are Ingramspark in Melbourne) for AU$55.00 (normally AU$58.00) and
(2) the Ingramspark produced paperback edition will sell for AU$45.00. The book “A Gracious Enemy” tells the entire story of the three Indochina Wars. Indochina is that region of the countries of Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam.

A lot of writing is about the second tour of duty in Vietnam of 5RAR. Where at all possible, I have written this from the point of view of both sides in the wars and included the plight of civilians. At the moment you can also buy the book from some bookshops. Two bookshops which sell it are Harry Hartog in Canberra and Collins booksellers in Wagga. More booksellers will be added over time. The problem with buying from booksellers is that it will increase the price by 10% (GST) The easiest way to get the book is to go to my website of and then look for the illustration of the book. After that, just to either the box marked Ingramspark Hardcover or the box marked IngramSpark paperback and complete the business.

There is no point in going to the Amazon box unless you want to read some reviews of the book (they all rate “A Gracious enemy” at 5 out of 5 stars!) In case you are wondering what I would know about Vietnam, My name is Michael Kramer and I am a veteran of the 1968-1969 tour of 1RAR. Please circulate this on your 5RAR Webpage.

Kind regards – Michael G. Kramer.
