To perpetuate the close bonds of
comradeship and esprit de corps
created by past members of the
Fifth Battalion, The Royal
Australian Regiment (hereinafter
referred to as the Battalion); |

To guard the good name and
preserve the interest of the
Battalion; |
 |
To
preserve the memory of those who
died on active service with the
Battalion; |
 |
To
provide referrals to relevant
welfare agencies and / or
welfare advice to Association
members who request or require
it; |
 |
To
support the successor
battalion(s) to the Battalion in
whatever way is practical and
appropriate for the Association; |
ALSO |

To
organize social functions such
as reunions, Anzac Day
arrangements and other formal
activities deemed appropriate; |
 |
Where possible, assist with
financial contributions to
memorials in honour of our
fallen; |
 |
Publish a newsletter three times
a year to inform members of
coming events and news; |
 |
Provide an Association Web and
History Home page; |
 |
Organize, produce and distribute
5 RAR military memorabilia with
all surplus being returned to
the association. |
